Up the Gatineau! Current Volume

2026 Update from the editor of Up the Gatineau!

I am pleased to announce that Volume 52 of Up the Gatineau! was published in June 2026 and is available at many local retailers in the Valley or by contacting the Society directly at publications@gvhs.ca.

This year’s volume showcases first-time and returning contributors. Two articles from Volume 52 are available online, in both English and French. The first is "A Hospice in the Gatineau Hills: From Dream to Reality" (Une maison de soins palliatifs dans les Collines-de-l‘Outaouais: Du rêve à la réalité en français) by André Renaud, and the second is “Saving Cantley” (Sauver Cantley en français) by Margaret Phillips.

I would also like to announce that Tina Therrien is this year’s winner of the Arthur Davison Prize or her outstanding article in 2025’s Volume 51, and Paul Gessell has received the Carol Martin Award. Congratulations!
