Trinity United Church, Kazabazua

In 1865, a tract of land in the village centre was designated as a burial ground and in 1872 a “proper church building” was erected at this burial site by Methodists. In 1925, the Kazabazua Methodist congregation joined the United Church of Canada (the Kazabazua United Church). In 1971, Kazabazua United Church became Trinity United Church with the amalgamation of congregations of Aylwin St. Andrew’s and Danford Lake United churches.
The Kazabazua congregation was organized in 1864 and became part of the Aylwin mission (circuit) of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Canada. The first pastor is the Reverend Isaac Gold. In 1904, the circuit was renamed Kazabazua and, from 1918 to 1925, the church was placed under the responsibility of the Presbyterian Church. In 1925, the Church of Kazabazua joined the ranks of the United Church of Canada and took its official name of Kazabazua United Church.
