Paroisse St Félix Blue Sea

In June 2022 Paroisse St Félix, in Blue Sea, along with the Roman Catholic Parishes from Gracefield, Cayamant, Messines and Maniwaki, transferred to the Archdiocese of Gatineau. Prior to June 2022, these parishes formed part of the Diocese of Mont Laurier.
Hull County. Diocese of Mont-Laurier. Served by way of mission by the parish priest of Gracefield from 1909 to 1919, date of the appointment of the first resident priest and the opening of the parish registers. Canonical erection: May 30, 1919. The territory of this parish included in the limits of the municipality of Bouchette-Sud, which was erected on January 31, 1921. The village is located at the southern end of Lake, on ranges VI and VII. The Canadian Pacific Railway crosses the township along Blue Sea Lake. The parish was placed under the patronage of Saint Félix in honor of Mr. Félix Courchesne, the first settler of this place. Blue Sea Lake is located in the center of the township of Bouchette. The beautiful expanse of the blue waters of this lake gives the illusion of a sea. Pop. 390.
