Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Danford Lake

Church tradition suggests that Holy Trinity Church in Alleyne (Danford Lake) was built in 1864 on land donated by Mr. H. Heeney. However, the deed for the land donated by Mr. H. Heeney to the corporation of Holy Trinity Church is dated 1872 with further documentation of additional land sold by Mr. Heeney to the church in 1885. Due to an increase in the congregation and a need for significant repairs on the old church, construction of a new building was begun in 1900. The second Holy Trinity Church was completed in 1902 and consecrated by Coadjutor Bishop James Carmichael of Montreal on July 28, 1904. The church is currently part of the Parish of the Northern Pontiac.
