The first French presbyterian church of Masham was established as a mission at Duclos in 1882 before it became a parish of the Presbyterian Church in 1885 on land acquired from the Cloutier family. Its official name was la première église Presbytérienne Française de Masham. It was built along with a mance, a school and other buildings. In 1924, the Duclos Presbyterian congregation voted unanimously to join the United Church of Canada. The church closed its doors in the late 1930s. The church and buildings were sold and dismantled in 1953.
