The refurbished train station in the village of Venosta, QC was regenerated on Monday evening March 27, 2023. Bruce Ballantyne, a renowned train historian, enlightened everyone with history of the railway including stories regarding some of the men who worked the line between Ottawa and Maniwaki. Bruce highlighted the often challenging and sometimes dangerous work conditions endured by the workers. His insight into the importance that the railway once held in our beautiful Gatineau Hills and beyond, enthralled those who attended the event either in person or via livestream.
