William Fairbairn's farmhouse, built c 1860, at its original location on Highway 105, just north of Wakefield. It was moved in 1993 to make room for a new road. The house is now the Fairbairn House Heritage Centre, located across the Gatineau River near the covered bridge. An edited (cropped) version of this image exits. This image appeared in its edited (cropped) version on page 86 of an article in Vol.44 of Up the Gatineau! titled "Remembering the Farms of Wakefield" by Anita Rutledge.
