Gatineau River: Then and Now
Lower Gatineau River from the air in 1926 and 1997
Set 5 - Gleneagle and Drum Road (Click on images for additional details)
In the THEN image, at the intersection of Gleneagle Road and Highway 11 (now Route 105) a barn and farmhouse are on the left. The old rail line runs beside the swiftly flowing river. Inland, the new railway right of way is visible. Farther inland is the newly constructed road Highway 11 (now Rte. 105). In the NOW view the barn is gone, but the farmhouse remains.
New roads are visible in the NOW image: Musie Road extends west from Route 105. Across the top of the image runs Autoroute 5.
