O'Neil House (Hotel) in Chelsea. ~ 577 Route 105. Now single story after a fire in 1963. Originally built in 1850`s as a stage stop between Ottawa and Alcove. The newly-formed Municipality of West Hull (now Chelsea) held its first council meeting here in 1875 when its owner was Charles Kingsbury. The Kingsbury family later moved to Wakefield Township and by 1891, Arthur O'Neil had purchased it and was operating a hotel here.O'Neil House (Hotel) in Chelsea. ~ 577 Route 105. Now single story after a fire in 1963. Originally built in 1850`s as a stage stop between Ottawa and Alcove.
